WEST LIBERTY RECORDING STUDIO
304-336-8296 | recording@westliberty.edu

CONTROL ROOM

The Control Room features a Digidesign ProTools HD accel system running on a PowerMac G5 Quad. The software is linked to a Digidesign Control|24 mixing console which contains 16 high-quality Focusrite microphone preamplifiers. We have a set of JBL LSR6300s and a set of Event Project Studio monitors for near-field monitoring. The room was designed as an optimal listening environment from the ground up: bass traps, sound diffusers, reflection panels, isolated concrete floor, etc. The control room can also be used as a voice-over space or isolation room while recording.

STUDIO

The studio room has a wood floor, acoustic treatment on the walls and ceiling, and movable baffles and sound diffusers. The studio's sound can vary from "live" to "muffled" and anywhere in-between depending on the number of musicians and the arrangement of baffles and diffusers. Ultimately, the desires of the producers, engineers, and musicians are the most important and we are committed to providing a comfortable and flexible environment in which to work.
